Dwight Gibson

Dwight Gibson serves as the Director of Operations & Business Development at the Tourism Development Corporation (TDC), a role he assumed in September 2024. His leadership in this capacity builds on over two decades of strategic management experience across multiple industries.

Before joining the TDC, Dwight spent 12 years with the Bahamas Telecommunications Company, where he held several senior executive roles in Franchise Operations, Commercial Optimization, Commercial Products, and Business Intelligence & Analytics. His tenure at BTC was marked by a consistent focus on operational efficiency, product development, and data-driven decision-making.

Prior to BTC, Dwight enjoyed a 10-year career in offshore banking, serving in various senior
management roles both locally and internationally. His expertise in financial operations and
leadership translated seamlessly into the luxury retail sector, where he spearheaded the
growth and transformation of a major jewelry retailer in The Bahamas. Dwight successfully
managed the buildout of two new retail locations and the renovation of three existing stores.
At the time of his departure, he oversaw a network of seven stores, a team of 130
employees, and annual revenues of $20 million.
 
Dwight holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from American University,
Washington, DC, in addition to numerous certifications in management, investments,
operations and strategic planning.
 
Outside of his professional career, Dwight remains actively engaged in community and
fraternal organizations. He is a dedicated member of the Parish Church of the Most Holy
Trinity and has served as both ACM Branch President and ACM Council President. He is also
a Scottish Freemason with Lodge St. David No. 1741 and a Royal Arch Mason in St. Gregory
Royal Arch Chapter No. 890.
 
Dwight, a father of three, Deon, Daniel, and Daria, takes great pride in his role as a father and
is extremely proud of the accomplishments of his children persevering the difficult loss of
their mother in 2022. As a family they continue to honor her legacy in their personal and
professional endeavors.
