Georgio Walkes

Georgio S. Walkes, Linkages Lead received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management from Langston University. In 2010, he started his professional career at the Road Traffic Department as a Data Entry Officer for a period of one year before taking his talents to the Ministry of Social Services and Urban Development. During his tenure of 10+ years as a Procurement Officer/Supervisor at the Simpson Penn Centre for Boys, he was once nominated, for employee of the year. In July 2021, he decided to embark on a new journey by joining the MOTIA Team, specifically in the Office of the Executive Director for Administrative Operation. Since then, he is currently the Linkages lead at the Tourism Development Corporation. Mr. Walkes also serves as the 2nd Vice President of the Charles W. Saunders Baptist High School Alumni Association, Vice President of the

Street Legends Organization, and is involved in many other sports and professional programs locally and internationally.

In his current role, Mr. Walkes will target local producers and small businesses ‘Linking’ them to industries where their products and services can be showcased, eventually decreasing economic leakages in our country. With this effort, his end goal is to ultimately enhance the touristic experience in The Bahamas.
