Laurell Burrows

Ms. Laurell Burrows, Director of Business Development, is a seasoned executive and entrepreneur with extensive background in business development, marketing and creative direction. She received her formal education at International Fine Arts College in Miami, Florida and began her career as a business owner soon after, opening an advertising agency which operated for twelve years as a storefront and thereafter virtually. She has over thirty years of experience as a business owner—in service and retail.

Throughout her career she has also gained professional experience via employment with Atlantis—including being a part of the team which opened The Cove and in event sales and management at Aura, as Marketing Manager at Kings Realty, in vacation sales, and most recently as Sales & Marketing Director of Bahamasair

In her current capacity as Director of Business Development she is responsible for providing support for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the Tourism sector.

Laurell enjoys volunteering at orphanages, has represented The Bahamas for over ten years in the sport of racquetball, winning numerous medals, and was on the national team at Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games in the Dominican Republic in 2007. She was an Ambassador for the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism’s “14 Islands Film Challenge” in 2010, is a nationalist and is passionate about The Bahamas realising its greatest potential in governance, business, social health and industry.
